Cheng Yong was amongst the first to successfully parallel import a Mercedes-Benz that broke the monopoly held by authorized dealers.
1993
First to propose an export processing zone
The introduction of the Export Processing Zone (EPZ) attracted people from all over the world to shop here for cars of good value and allowed billions to be circulated back to the country.

First to introduce an environment-friendly taxi fleet
Prime's green fleet of taxis not only provided greater comfort and fuel efficiency but was also a big step for the transport sector towards environmental sustainability.
Awarded top entrepreneur of the year
A prestigious award by Association of Small and Medium Enterprises, Prime Group was one of the top entrepreneurs and also the winner of the Subcategory Award for Innovation. The award recognizes Prime for the significant contribution in the industry, paving the road for best practices and providing creative solutions.

Prime Group established a key partnership
with Shell to market fuel cards to small and medium enterprises

Entered into the private-hire vehicle business
to provide a competitive option for drivers.

Continual business diversification
